Jozankei Futami Suspension Bridge,a bright red bridge which is overlooking the  Toyohira River. It’s the landmark of viewing autumn leaves in Hokkaido.

Date Historic Village is a history theme park highlighting the Edo Period-one of  the most attractive era in Japanese history. In this village you can step back in time to enjoy traditional games, activities, theaters, street performances and more with the Edo Period’s Ninja and Oiran courtesans.

Noboribetsu Hell Valley is located right next to Noboribetsu hot springs. White smoke wafts up from the blowholes and you are enveloped in hot air that makes you feel as if you were in hell. The primeval forest in the surrounding area is known for its beautiful foliage in fall.

Quasi National Park is well-known as a beautfulspot to see fall foliage in Hokkaido. A combination of Mt. Komagadake and small islands with fall  foliage floated on the surface of the Lake Onuma is fantastic.

Goryokaku Park is surrounded by nearly 1,600 trees. If youlook down Goryokaku from the observation deck of the Goryokaku Tower. You will see treeswith different colors planted around the star-shaped moat.

Mt. Hakodate Ropeway The view of the city from Mt. Hakodate at night is acclaimed as one of the best in the world. It has held the top ranking in the most impressive domestic night views in a survey conducted by a Japanese travel agency.

Motomachi neighborhood is full of historical buildings such as churches  and one-time foreign residences. The exotic atmosphere of the streetscape and the sweeping views of the port from the slopes give this area its picturesque flavor.

Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse is a commercial complex consisting of four facilities, which were built after renovating an old red brick warehouse built in 1909.The seven warehouses contain about 50 restaurants and souvenir stores. It’s an amazing place for discovering exotic things.Silo Observatory is an observatory located at the tip of Lake Toya. It is famous as one of Hokkaido’s leading photography spots, as well as for the wonderful view of Mt. Usu, Nakajima, etc.

Otaru Canal is one of Hokkaido's iconic attractions, the canal is a must visit spot. The canal today reflects the past of Otaru that used to be a flourishing commercial city.

Music Box Museum is not only a good place for souvenir shopping, but also a fabulous museum. It has multiple branches in Otaru. You can make an original music box by yourself.

Kitaichi Glass Workshop is built in 1901. Glass made art work is a representative thing of Otaru. You can also make yourself an original one in the workshop.

Shiroikoibito Park is a theme park by Ishiya, a local chocolate company.The park consists of a free area with a shop, cafe and restaurant and a paid area with various chocolate-related exhibits and, most interestingly, a few large windows through which visitors can observe the cookie production process in the factory. It is also possible to create your own cookies in hands-on workshops.
