Asai no Ippon Sakura(Single Cherry Blossom Tree): Said to be about 100 years old, this mountain cherry tree is 18 meters (nearly 60 feet) tall and measures 4.3 meters (about 14 feet) around its trunk. It has been carefully looked after by local  citizens and blooms magnificently every year.The cherry blossom tree has adignified quality and an abundance of flowers. The “sakasa zakura” (or upside-down cherry blossom tree, an effect achieved when the tree and blue sky are reflected in the pond below) is worth a gander.
